    Salvation is not a formula, but it does have a shape. Five steps, each one a question you can read in ten minutes.

    1. The problem

      We are not merely imperfect. Something in us is turned away from God, and it costs more than we want to admit.

      Jesus, fully God and fully man, lived the life we owed and died the death we earned, then rose.

    Find a church

    You were not saved to walk alone

    This site cannot recommend a congregation near you, and it should not try. What it can do is tell you what to look for: a church where the Bible is opened and taught, where Jesus is the center rather than a personality, where ordinary people are known by name, and where nobody pressures you for money or secrecy.

    Visit two or three. Sit near the back if you like. Ask the questions you have been asking here. A healthy church will not be offended by them.

    What to look for, and what to avoid
    • The Bible is taught, not just quoted.
    • Jesus is central, not the leader.
    • People are known, not counted.
    • Giving is free, never pressured.
    • Questions are welcome, including yours.
